- Facts & Circumstances of the Charges
- What Happened? Are there disputes as to what happened? Are there legal defenses?
- Prior Charge(s), Arrest(s) & Conviction History
- Have there been prior Deferral Programs, Pleas or Convictions?
- Severity of the Offense(s)
- Are they part of additional or more serious criminal charges?
- Pre-Existence of Probation or other Suspended Terms or Deferral Agreements
- Would new charges “Violate” probation or other Deferred Disposition Agreements?
- Pending Charges or Offenses in other jurisdictions in North Carolina and other states
- Would either set of charges adversely affect the other(s)?
